I Choose The Mountain
The low lands call
I am tempted to answer
They are offering me a free dwelling
Without having to conquer
The massive mountain makes its move
Beckoning me to ascend
A much more difficult path
To get up the slippery bend
I cannot choose both
I have a choice to make
I must be wise
This will determine my fate
I choose, I choose the mountain
With all its stress and strain
Because only by climbing
Can I rise above the plain
I choose the mountain
And I will never stop climbing
I choose the mountain
And I shall forever be ascending
I choose the mountain.

This was another heavy session that took a lot of energy to get done. Great job everyone. Somewhere around the third round the realization that 'Kelly' is for real sinks in... Everyone deals with it differently, but the feelings are the same- "Oh my gosh. Two more rounds..."
Great job John- as prescribed, and fast. Dan- you are the son of Zeus. Just wait until you get your sea legs. DT, Holley, GREAT JOB! You guys are getting more and more, and doing great. BE consistent and do your homework.
Saturday is another well deserved rest day. Enjoy the day off, but do not forget to stretch those seriously tight posterior chain muscle groups. Your body will thank you Sunday, when we will be back after it. Get it?
If not, you will.
Thanks for a really fun session, and another fun Friday night full of muscle ups, rope climbs, tire slams, moblity, and ring fun at CFSF. You guys are the reason CFSF is the absolutely coolest place to be anytime, anywhere. Thanks for that too. Thanks for the strong efforts and the strong fuel needed to book this one.
Sunday. 12:30.

When The Fireworks Show Turns Into a Battlefield
Meet Sergeant Ronald Payne, 21, of Atlanta Georgia. He is known as a 'Tunnel rat' and he served in the 196th light infantry brigade. He is emerging from a Viet cong tunnel holding his silencer equipped revolver with which he fired at guerrillas fleeing ahead him. These tunnels went for miles in some cases and were highly sophisticated.

Figs Are Weird
- Improved Digestion: The high fiber content aids in preventing constipation and supports gut health.
- Heart Health: Figs contain potassium, which helps regulate blood pressure, and soluble fiber, which helps manage cholesterol levels.
- Bone Health: They are a good source of calcium, crucial for maintaining strong bones and reducing the risk of osteoporosis.
- Rich in Nutrients: Figs provide essential minerals like magnesium, copper, and iron, as well as vitamins A and K.
- Antioxidants: Figs contain antioxidants like phenols and flavonoids, which reduce inflammation and oxidative stress. [1, 3, 4, 5, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12]

THIS IS SERIOUS STUFF HERE...
https://www.yahoo.com/sports/articles/canada-sweden-cheating-controversy-explained-050807286.html
- The Objective: Score points by placing stones closer to the center of the house (the "button") than the opponent after all 16 stones (8 per team) are thrown.
- The "End": Similar to an inning in baseball, a game consists of 8 to 10 ends.
- Scoring: Only one team scores per end, earning one point for each stone closer to the center than the opponent's best stone.
- Sweeping: Two sweepers brush the ice ahead of the moving stone to melt the ice slightly, which reduces friction, making the stone travel straighter and farther.
- The "Curl" & Strategy: A slight spin is put on the stone, causing it to curve or "curl". Teams use strategic shots like "guards" to protect their stones or "takeouts" to remove opponent stones.
- Positions: Teams consist of a Lead, Second, Third (or Vice-Skip), and Skip, with the Skip directing strategy from the house.
- The "Hammer": The last stone of an end, which is a significant strategic advantage. [1, 2, 3, 5, 6, 7, 9, 10, 11, 12]
- Manufacturing & Materials: Authentic, competition-ready stones are made from specific granite, such as Ailsa Craig common green or blue hone, which provides durability and the correct, consistent performance on the ice.
- Set Cost: A full set of 16 stones—required for a standard game—often ranges from $7,000 to $12,000.
- Club/Used Stones: Less expensive, refurbished, or used club stones can be found for between $125 and $250 per stone.
- Lifespan: Stones are highly durable, often lasting 50 to 70 years.
- Other Options: LiteRock junior stones are available for around $4,800 per set, while smaller, decorative, or, non-granite options can cost significantly less, such as $129. [1, 2, 3, 6, 7, 8]
