Just in case you haven't heard where the now infamous "Fight Gone Bad" workout got it's name, BJ Penn coined it while lying in a pool of sweat, just after Coach Glassman ran him through the workout for the first time.
CG "Is that anything like a fight?"
BJP "It's a Fight Gone Bad!"
The Mixed Martial Arts community takes FGB to a whole new level by adding a fourth, and fifth round- as if three rounds weren't difficult enough. CrossFit took it one step further by prescribing a specific number of reps to perform, instead of the arbitrary 1:00 minute's worth at each station. This was definitely a good one. Thanks CFHQ!

Great workout everyone! Really good job going Rx'd on this one too. This was the first FGB for a couple of people, and the extra two rounds landed EVERYONE in uncharted waters for the first time, where it quickly became sink, or swim. Good job hanging tough.
FGB is a tough, but fun workout that proves to us that we can do much more than we think we can, and that most of our limitations are self imposed.
There were several suggestions as to what this beast could be called: 'Fight Gone Really Bad' was one, 'Forced Rep Fight Gone Bad' was another. We stuck with 'Spartan' because of the total number of reps in each round. Anytime the word 'Spartan' is used we're getting a hundred of something.
Thanks for another great day at CFSF. Thanks for your super strong efforts and fuel. Thanks for choosing CFSF.
